A Steamy Merman Romance
Beth Nolan was having a bad enough morning before the man with the fin appeared.
Her beachfront bookstore is struggling. Her own romance novels barely sell. And six comfortable years with the same man have begun to feel suspiciously like settling.
Then Beth sees something impossible rise from Paradise Bay.
A blond man.
A blue-green fin.
And one casual wave in her direction.
By lunchtime, she has almost convinced herself it was the migraine.
Then he walks into her bookstore.
On two perfectly ordinary legs.
Landon is beautiful, mysterious, unexpectedly good with books, and far too interested in Beth for a man who refuses to explain where he came from. He remembers the things she writes. Notices the things everyone else overlooks. And whenever Beth gets too close to an answer, the sea seems to call him back.
She should keep her distance.
Instead, Beth finds herself wondering what would happen if she followed him.
Paradise Bay has already shown her one impossible thing.
She is beginning to suspect there is much more beneath the surface.
From the Author
Siren in Store began with a simple question: what if the mysterious man from the sea did not fall for a flawless fantasy heroine, but for a woman who owns a struggling bookstore, writes novels nobody seems to buy, and has become far too accustomed to being overlooked?
Beth’s story grew from there.
I wanted the supernatural mystery to be fun, sexy, and a little strange, but the heart of the book is much more human. It is about being seen by somebody at exactly the moment you have stopped seeing your own value.
And, naturally, it is also about discovering that the gorgeous new employee standing behind your bookstore counter may have been hiding considerably more than a résumé gap.

What is Siren in Store?
Siren in Store is a steamy merman romance by Megan Hussey set in the fictional Florida beach town of Paradise Bay. It follows Beth Nolan, a thirty-five-year-old bookstore owner and romance novelist whose ordinary life begins to unravel after she sees an apparently human man emerge from the sea with a blue-green fin.
When the same mysterious stranger later walks into Siren’s Call Books and asks for a job, Beth is drawn into a paranormal romance involving forbidden attraction, hidden identities, seaside mystery, relationship upheaval, and the possibility that the waters she has known all her life contain secrets she never imagined.
The adult romance combines merman fantasy, contemporary romance, bookstore romance, humor, erotic tension, and supernatural mystery in a fast, character-driven novella.
